The Continuing Committee is pleased to present the third and final set in The Next Generation Block, The Sky’s the Limit. This fifty-four (54) card expansion will be released online at www.trekcc.org on Friday, April 26, 2013. As the last set in TNG Block, The Sky’s the Limit has a little something for all of the TNG Block affiliations and features some of the most infamous TNG villains.
The Sky’s the Limit helps expand the Cardassian’s reach in the Galaxy. Nador will be useful in every Cardassian deck, but is especially helpful to the Cardassians. For them he is not only the first source of Anthropology and Law, but he also doubles the Leadership and Stellar Cartography they have. Romulans also gain some assistance. While {Relam} may not look like much at first glance, being the matching commander of the powerful (and universal!) {D'deridex} can certainly have its benefits (see {Ready Room Door}, {Captain's Log}, {Defiant Dedication Plaque}), especially when the captain’s place is on the bridge (see {Your Place is on the Bridge}).
Several familiar faces return in The Sky’s the Limit, and not always in the same manner that we have seen them before. {Hugh} the interrupt has been around since Premiere debuted in 1994 and later made an appearance as personnel (see {Third of Five (TwT)}) and member of the Borg. Now Hugh is back, ready to help as a Non-Aligned personnel after regaining his individuality.
To the First Edition design, rules, creative, art, and play test departments, I would like to give you a huge round of applause and thank you. For those that did not know, this expansion originally began with a focus on Star Trek Nemesis and the Remans. As you can see, what we ended up with is quite different than what we originally envisioned. Everyone involved with creating The Sky’s the Limit did an outstanding job switching gears and bringing you this amazing expansion. I am very proud of this set and hope you enjoy it. If you would like to join me in thanking our First Edition staff, please consider making a donation to The Continuing Committee via The Promenade. Donors will also earn the exclusive The Sky’s the Limit badge, available for a limited time only.
The Sky’s the Limit will be available for free digital download on Friday, April 26, 2013, and will be legal in all of The Continuing Committee's sanctioned events exactly one week later, Friday, May 3, 2013. For more information about this upcoming expansion, continuing to check back at www.trekcc.org.
