While not random, Chula: The Lights is almost guaranteed to take out one of your better personnel. The personnel with total attributes in the range from 21-23 include the likes of Jean-Luc Picard
, Kira Nerys
, The Traveler
, Dr. Telek R'Mor
, Seven of Nine
and all the Garak
s. Redshirting past it is out of the question, as you still need CUNNING > 24 remaining to pass the wall.
Granted, the personnel isn't discarded, so you can just report him for duty again next turn - maybe. But if he was key to solving the mission, you may be in for a significant delay while you shuttle the replayed personnel back to the mission site.
