Check this card in the mirror and you'll see it's a lot different from Deep Space Nine. Well, a little different... Quark’s Bar is there, as is its proprietor - Mr. Quark. However, there's no Morn in this backward universe. Like the Deep Space Nine/Deep Space 9 / Terok Nor card, this card is also two-sided with different affiliation icons on either side. However, in the Mirror Universe, it's the Cardassians or the mirror equivalent of the Federation that's running the Nor. To play personnel directly to a station's sites, you'll still have to follow the rule of reporting personnel to their native quadrant. Hence, only compatible Mirror universe personnel can normally report to an appropriate site on Mirror Terok Nor.
The station seeds during the dilemma phase for the Federation (Terran Empire) - while the Cardassians (Klingon/Cardassian Alliance) have to wait until the facility phase. Just like Deep Space Nine and the Bajorans, Mirror Terok Nor's seeding rule is something you can use to your advantage. All sites that can play at any Nor can all be used here as well, except Ops - in this case you'll have to use its opposite version, Ops: Mirror Universe. One excellent site to consider seeding is the Ore Processing Unit. Since the station must seed at Bajor and almost any affiliation can Process Ore without overloading its reactor, use the Federation to seed the Nor first and start drawing cards first. You can also File Mission Reports, make Cargo Runs and Dabo to your heart's delight using the various sites you seed and play here.
But don't forget to protect your station. Sure, its WEAPONS and SHIELDS are two greater than its Alpha Quadrant version, but the Alliance is a formidable foe. Their armadas are always lurking around to retake their old home and return it to the days when Terran slaves were working the mines under Overseer Odo. Use Defense System Upgrades to increase your feeling of security in an insecure universe.
Combos:
- Disrupt Alliance + Mirror Terok Nor + Ore Processing Unit + Process Ore + any Emblem card: Mine Bajor for two cards a turn.
- Mirror Terok Nor + Rescue Personnel: Rescue "stranded" Mirror Universe personnel with your Alpha Quadrant crew to draw cards and score points.
