    This personnel is the first triple-affiliation card. Triple-affiliation and dual-affiliation cards are collectively referred to as “multi-affiliation” cards.

    BEHIND THE SCENES:
    The design team originally pondered the possibility that Romulans, as an offshoot of the Vulcan race, might have Mindmeld skill. Unfortunately, Star Trek has never established whether Romulans possess this ability. However, the storyline in “Gambit” provided an opportunity to make a Romulan-affiliation personnel that would naturally have this ability. In case you’re wondering why a Federation-affiliation personnel “does not work with other Federationaffiliation personnel,” here’s a hint: throw a few shady Non-Aligned personnel in your deck and you’re ready to attempt Federation missions.
