    Cure Deadly Virus

This Card-Review article was written by Sean O'Reilly and was published first on "Decipher's Website (decipher.com)" at May 9th, 2001.

Sometimes the most dangerous thing on a planet isn't the killer land eels, the flying neural parasites, or the grenades and bombs from other humanoids. No, sometimes the greatest threat of all is the planet itself.

When Kathryn Janewayimage and Chatokay were quarantined on this planet the crew of the U.S.S. Voyagerimage asked the friendly Danara Pelimage for help in finding a cure. The two senior officers were prepared to spend the rest of their lives in "quarantine" because if they left the planet they would die. Thankfully for UPN, a cure was made and the TV show could continue with the captain of the ship.

While this mission may seem to be the perfect one for Vidiians to solve, almost any Away Team can complete it with ease. Using the Vidiian Sodality, any affiliation (but the Borg) can use Danara Pel to help you solve this mission. Plus, don't forget you can use a Temporal Micro-Wormholeimage to use Danara Pel without the incident, too! Or just stack a lot of Exobiology and Biology in your deck - which is easy since those skills are quite common on Delta Quadrant personnel.

If you're playing Borg, Cure Deadly Virus is the perfect mission for you to assimilate. If you're not playing Borg, it's the perfect mission for you to steal from your opponent - they can't protect it using Fair Playimage (since its worth more than 35 points) or HQ: Defensive Measuresimage (since it has doesn't have multiple affiliation icons on both ends).

Of course, you could always include the mission in your deck to harm your opponent (a la Aid Fugitivesimage).
