Vidiian Harvester

The dreadful phage, the bane of Vidiian existence, has forced its victims to be resourceful and efficient. Thus the Vidiian Harvester, a marvelous piece of equipment that will leave other affiliations green with envy. Who wouldn't love to have an equipment card like this, one that gives all Vidiians - not X-classification Vidiians, but all Vidiians - MEDICAL skill (in addition to any the individual Vidiian might already have)? With this handy little tool, the Vidiians are not going down to MEDICAL-related dilemmas. Better still, with The Vidiian Sodality in play, the Harvester reports for free.

But the Harvester isn't just a Vidiian medical kit. It's also an efficient hand weapon, giving your Vidiians each STRENGTH +2 (a desperately needed boost, given the degenerative effects of the phage). Moreover, each Harvester allows one of your Vidiians to stun an adversary just engaged in battle. With multiple Harvesters in your Away Team, even the Kazon will need to think twice about kicking your Vidiians when they're down.

If those weren't enough reasons to stock Vidiian Harvester, you'll need one if you wish to harvest organs from your opponent's personnel using the Organ Theft objective. Of course, to harvest organs, you must be present with your opponent's personnel. You might use the Vidiian Boarding Claw to achieve that. But that's another story.

Combos:

• Telari + Vidiian Harvester: With Telari in play, you can hold back the Harvester until you first need it, thus saving yourself a card play and protecting the Harvester from Disruptor Overload.
• Vidiian Harvester + Genetronic Replicator: With the Harvester in their midst, any two Vidiians can run the Replicator. The Vidiians are not as fragile as the phage makes them appear, at least planetside.
