    Grand Nagus Gint

    The first Grand Nagus. Credited with writing the Rules of Acquisition. Appeared in Quark's dream; looked a lot like Rom. Told Quark the Rules were a marketing ploy.

    Everyone loves an original and here we have one - THE original Grand Nagus, and author of The Rules of Acquisition. An Alternate Universe icon is a bit of an oddity on a Ferengi, but his skill set is solid. Acquisition is a key requirement for playing most of the Rules cards. It will also help him avoid being the victim of Skullduggery and allow him to get past Arms Deal. Greed is good for exploiting Worshippers, while the combination of Greed x2 and Acquisition is perfect for passing Primitive Culture.

    Grand Nagus Gint is a valuable source of Law for nullifying Framed for Murder or setting up Extradition with strong personnel like Maihar’du and the universal Krozh leading the charge. In addition he can report free to the Tower of Commerce, where he can turn latinum into card draws or points using HQ: Ferengi Credit Exchange. While his INTEGRITY isn't too bad for a Ferengi and his CUNNING is excellent, he only has a STRENGTH of 1, so he'll need careful guarding. Fortunately Maihar'du with his special download of Bodyguards is just the person for Gint to stand behind when the fights break out.

    Grand Nagus Gint also has two interesting special downloads, which allow him to be a successful opportunist. Bribery is a versatile card to have sudden access to to avoid a critical point loss, retrieve a prisoner, or buy your way into non-Ferengi missions. If you don't have the latinum in hand, you can even special download the 1st Rule of Acquisition (as his Rule card) to get the bribe in a hurry. This ability to download a rules card is very powerful - if your opponent's ship gets damaged, suspend play to download the 34th Rule for latinum or cards; if they're a Palor Toff fan, download the 47th Rule and keep them in check.

    Combos:

    • Grand Nagus Gint + Maihar'du + Scepter of the Grand Nagus: Maihar'du will take care of Gint's body, while the Scepter ensures that the cards he downloads don't get nullified.
    • Grand Nagus Gint + The Ferengi Rules of Acquisition: The book itself has a Rules icon, so Gint can download it to get things going.
