    Farius Prime, Approach Criminal Organization

This Card-Review article was written by Daniel “Danny” Giddings and was published first on "The Continuing Committee (trekcc.org)" at Apr 20th, 2016.

Back in July of 2015, Tyler (DJStormtrooper) asked the community a couple of questions:

“What decks suffer from poor mission selection? If you could design a mission for them, what would it look like?”

22 days and 4 pages later, the thread came to a natural close, and, as we’ve come to expect from this community, the (vast majority of) answers were well thought out and showed an accurate and deep understanding of the game.

Here are just a few of the choicest responses:

    • jadziadax8 (Maggie): “…Cardassian missions that don't require treachery would be nice.
    • nalan bal: “…a space mission in the Sector 001 region that Starfleet can attempt.
    • Gorgo Primus (Ben Rostoker): “A good space Delta Quadrant mission that requires treachery might be useful for Equinox decks.
    • Armus (Brian Sykes): “More Nebulae
    • Bosskamiura: “I'd like to see more Neutral Zone missions.
    • bandana8472: “Dissidents could use a mission, too. Maybe something that requires the dissident keyword, anthropology and honor?
    • jadziadax8 (Maggie): “A Region: Bajor System planet mission.

Now, without giving too much away, I can tell you that… five of the above seven suggestions made it through to the final product!

Sorry for being a tease, but that’s all I can say – no further details can be given at this time...

    Great Minds, etc.

    However…

There was one suggestion, stated by some, echoed or endorsed by others, that appeared again and again throughout the thread:

    • Mogor (Jordan Smith): “Higher point intelligence missions would be nice allow for some versatility in decks built around the intelligence aspect.”
    • bandana8472: “cardassian intelligence missions for tain. The existing ones are great, but they haven't changed much since 2005.”
    • LORE (Kris Sonsteby): “+1”
    • TyKajada (Alexander Schmitz): “Cardassian Intelligence missions.”
    • Skrain Dukat (Michael Shea): “I agree that …missions to bring to the fore underutilized affiliation characteristics and/or flavor (like … Cardassian Intelligence…) would be great.”

Which brings us to the spoiler:

    Farius Prime, Approach Criminal Organization

Stating the obvious: it’s a 40 point, vanilla, Alpha-Quardrant planet mission requiring Intelligence that’s attemptable by all the affiliations you’d expect (and maybe one you wouldn’t), and looks like it was specifically made for Korinas, Observer from the Obsidian Orderimage, Lance Cartwright, Co-Conspiratorimage, Leyton Founder, Hostile Operativeimage or Sela, Cunning Strategistimage.

Is this along the lines of what you were after?

Seriously, guys and gals, thanks for your efforts and suggestions, and we hope you enjoy it.

    Thanks for reading!
