    Order - Destroy this event to begin an engagement involving your Dominion Officer personnel. If you win, the opponent on your left places the top two dilemmas of his or her dilemma pile beneath one of your non-headquarters missions.

    The Dominion Will Prevail is a new Maneuver Event from the Captain's Log expansion that allows the Dominion affiliation to overcome two dilemmas by winning an engagement. Ok, so getting six dilemmas beneath your mission may rely on some lucky retrievals from your draw deck and/or some downloads to play all three copies, but The Dominion Will Prevail still packs quite a punch against an opponent's dilemma pile with each play. (In addition, its cost is a relatively-low three counters and can be played as early as your first turn.) However, your opponent gets to choose the mission under which these dilemmas are placed, so it's wise to make this an early-game maneuver, and to select non-headquarters missions with this in mind. You may select missions which are similar, making it difficult for your opponent to choose, or perhaps strategically include a very difficult mission with the goal of having your opponent think you may not attempt it at all. Either way, two dilemmas overcome from winning an engagement are two less dilemmas you would have to face later.

    A good opportunity to play The Dominion Will Prevail may be while you're still parked quietly at your headquarters mission, but after your opponent has made his or her first mission attempt. You may not have the right personnel in play to attempt your own missions because you've spent a few turns playing your Dominion Battleshipimage and/or some costly personnel. Yet, with potential Weapons of thirteen, a maneuver with this ship should hit its target more times than not. Moreover, if Lamat'Ukan happens to be aboard, his special game text allows you to fly back to your headquarters, or attempt your own mission if you do happen to have the right personnel aboard.

    Depending upon your mission selection, the U.S.S. Defiant, Commandeered Warshipimage as a second ship in your deck may complement this event very well. You may stop the Defiant at a completed mission, and then move two overcome dilemmas to an Alpha Quadrant mission. If the dilemmas placed as a result of The Dominion Will Prevail happen to be at the same Alpha Quadrant mission, that mission suddenly becomes much easier to complete.

    Additional requirements to note are a Dominion-affiliation Officer personnel for The Dominion Will Prevail, an Engineer aboard the U.S.S. Defiant (if used), and the staffing requirements of the Dominion Battleship, which can sometimes be challenging. Overall, though, these are easy requirements to meet – especially when compared to the requirements of some of the dilemmas you will see automatically placed beneath your missions as a result. So, stock-up on Ketracel-White, because The Dominion Will Prevail, and there's going to be a party!
