    Mirror Dagger

This Card-Review article was written by Joeri Hoste and was published first on "Decipher's Website (decipher.com)" at Nov 13th, 2000.

"Is this a dagger I see before me or is it but a dagger of the mind?" It sure was real enough when the mirror version of Kirk plunged it into Pike! Want to get up close and personal? This insidious, fiendish little blade will have your superiors on their toes as you advance in the Terran Empire.

Sometimes an Agonizer just won't cut it, but you don't want to resort to the Tantalus Field just yet, so you stick to one of the Empire's other long-standing traditions: the Mirror Dagger. It works for all of your personnel, which will not only come in handy with all the different affiliations in the Terran Alliance or Rebellion (whichever epoque suits your fancy), but a regular Treaty deck will get that bonus too!

Don't want to lose that Diplomacy when your Away Teams lug around Disruptor Rifles? Why not settle for some cold steel? You've got a solid draw engine, but don't want to lose card plays to beef up your personnel's STRENGTH? No worries: the Mirror Dagger reports for free to your Mirror Quadrant facility! Want to spring a surprise on an all-too-confident foe? If you've got at least one Mirror Quadrant card involved in that battle, the Mirror Dagger reports there for free and might just turn the tables on your opponent. It might not be a huge bonus compared to other hand weapons, but its flexibility will have you acquiring a taste for the blade in no time. Heck, it could even give Balok a mean streak!

    Combos :

    • Mirror Dagger + Comm Officer Uhura: Download it when you really need it -- and doesn't she wield it so, so well...
    • Mirror Dagger + Boheeka + Bok'Nor: If you're taking the Alliance to the Alpha Quadrant, why not cargo run some free weapons at the same time?
