Yesterday's card, Sela (Supervising Operative), allows you to download two Capture cards when you play her. While this is a nice effect, it may not be enough to convince players to use this version of Tasha Yar's daughter over previous incarnations. Two downloads are not too shabby, but what really useful cards are there to grab from your deck? To help you make that decision, let us have a look at Sela's ride.

Interactive decks that rely on being present with opponent's personnel, as well as engagement decks, will get a huge boost when Tacking Into the Wind releases in just under two weeks' time.

One of the first things I thought about when Brad told me that Tacking Into the Wind (then known just as Project Rizzi) was all about ships was that this could be a great opportunity to give Cloaking Device some love. Preferably, some love that didn’t require Engage Cloak.

Ships are usually the most expensive cards in a deck. Playing one often takes up most, or sometimes even all counters for that turn, so why would you ever want to destroy your own ship and pay a whopping four counters to do that as well? Here are some ideas.

Let's cut to the chase because I don't have a lot of time these days and I'm sure you don't either. Who says that wintertime is a lot of sitting around indoors doing nothing? They're wrong.

Brad (January 16th): I have put some thought into this dilemma. It is fantastic. Beautiful. Something to be cherished ... I wish I had thought of it.
Brad (July 30th): I'm cutting it.
These quotes from Mr. Brad DeFruiter have been a part of my forum signature for the last six months. This is the story behind them...

It has been hinted at in the forum Q&A. You wanted something tasty-good for your Ferengi. You saw it on the front page - and if you didn't, here it is again to the right.
Team Work
I don't give out enough credit to all the designers on the design teams. They all add to the final product. It has been publicly stated but let me repeat - it is a team effort. Falsify Distress Signal is pure example of this.

As of late, competitive Romulan decktypes have been pigeonholed into one of two, not necessarily exclusive categories: 1) Far-Seeing Eyes lockout; or 2) Wariness late-game solving. However, both these strategies take a long time setting up, and require a multitude of card combinations to reach effectiveness. As a result, these decks tend to be bulky, slow, and inconsistent.

The Ferengi suffer from some serious flaws.
I'm not referring to their capitalistic culture, the greed, the untrustworthiness, etc. I'm referring to their gameplay flaws. The low attributes, the pervasiveness of treachery, and the low range ships. There's probably more I'm forgetting.

You’re reading this article because over a year ago I, along with 19 other contestants, participated the Make It So competition. I did not know what it would bring me, or how long it would take, but I was happy to make it to the final.

According to our beloved Chairman, Infinite Diversity includes, among other fantastic cards, "a huge new mission." The powers that be even deemed this one card in the new expansion so capable of affecting the current metagame that the original spoiler schedule was changed around in order to present this card early and give all players enough time to think about what kind

I love Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Over the years, I've watched it enough to know most of the film by heart. One of my favourite scenes is the one with the French soldier insulting King Arthur and his k-nig-hts in the most random ways imaginable. The title of today's card brought back some of those precious memories.
"Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries."

The best person to pose as is someone who can't possibly expose you as a fraud. So let's get back to the good old days of impersonating captives.
It makes sense. For zero cost, you get zero attributes and zero skills. As you can see, though, that's not exactly what you get. You actually get, well, what you can get. Make it something good.

Guilty until proven even more guilty. That's how the Cardassians roll. You're targeted, captured, jailed, and then put on trial before being further used by the state. This Evek is truly an agent of Cardassian justice. He puts the cuffs on personnel you haven't even played yet! That doesn't even seem fair!

One of the cards in Legacy takes us back to the very first days of the ST:CCG. Back in Premiere, there was this handy little Federation personnel called the Exocomp. A personnel card representing an artificial life-form primarily built for repair tasks, it let you repair your ship without returning to an outpost - in addition to providing an extra ENGINEER and very high INTEGRITY of nine (Exocomps are the Picards of repair robots).
