Upgrade from Deckbuilder 1.x to 2.0 (closed)

This topic is for all users of a ST2E Deckbulder Beta Version (1.0/1.1/1.2) . It explains what you have to do, when you would upgrade fom a previous version of ST2E deckbuilder to the new version 2.0. The main technical differences between Version 1.x and 2.0 are: * the location of the database must be changed (because of harmonisation with Collection Manager) * your decks are now saved as XML files * registration changed - a User-ID is no longer necessary. Simply enter your real name and your openCards user name when you open ST2E Deckbuilder first time Because of this changes it is necessary, that you delete the old version of ST2E Deckbuilder and install the complete version 2.0. BUT: befor you do this you should save your decks! You find your decks in the folder c:/programme/uct/db2e/decks/"your user name" (when you use the standard installation directory). All your deck files have the file extension ".deck" in version 1.x of ST2E Deckbuilder. After saving your decks at a different place you can simply delete the hole folder "uct" with all its subfolders and files beneath. Now you can follow the standard installation process to install ST2E Deckbuilder version 2.0 (as discribted unter "Install ST2E Deckbuilder 2.x". When you open ST2E Deckbuilder first time you should enter your real name and your openCards User name - a ST2E Deckbuilder user-ID is no longer necessary. After doing that all functions of the ST2E Deckbuilder are availible for you. With your registration information a new dirctory was createt for your decks (openCards user name + real name). You can copy your "old" deck files back to your new deck directory (same location under "uct/db2e/decks" as before). Your old deck files are full compatible with the new deckbuilder version. But when you open and change such a "old" deck-file it will be converted to a XML file when you save it (file extension ".xml". Also all new decks will be created as XML files in your new deck directory. You can use this files to exchange your decks with your friends if you wish.
